| A long time ago mens are were on a frontier. They knew that in the ore mountains are gold and silver. So the men in the middle age went through impenetrable forest in pursuit of happiness. They foundt so much ore that the area called 'ore mountains'. Hard men working are the basic for all the adits. They and the saxon king lived well because of the rich silver and copper finds. The saxon kings wealth (china, paintigs and am azing buildings you found in the nearby Dresden) has his origin in the adits of ore mountains. | the Fortuna

| But in the 18th century the ore became poor and poorer. Now the miners are looking for new chances. The rich forrest gave the idea in the mind. The former miners now made wooden toys and typical German Chrismas decorations. This excellent handycraft is made also today. | Now you find an amzing landscape, beautiful medieval churches and interesting museums. See the heart of ore mountains Annaberg-Buchholz or the small romantic Christmas village Seiffen. Walk through and see the diffeent things made from about hundred families. One family are making this kind of nutcracker, another family Christmas pyramids.
